Technologies for the Management of Emissions of Volatile Organic Pollutants (VOCs)
- February 10, 2026
- 11:30 h
Industrial development has increased the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), primary pollutants that come mainly from mobile sources and contribute to the formation of secondary pollutants, the greenhouse effect, and ozone depletion.
Therefore, it is necessary to control their emissions through preventative measures and destructive or non-destructive methods, notably adsorption and catalytic processes using porous materials, whose effectiveness depends on their textural and metallic properties.
Conference led by:
Antonio Gil Bravo
With a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country, he is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Public University of Navarre. His research focuses on heterogeneous catalysis to solve environmental and energy problems, adsorption processes, and the valorization of industrial waste, with extensive experience in materials characterization.
