Dr. Antonio Gil Bravo, a leading expert in heterogeneous catalysis and emissions treatment in the industrial sector, will deliver the official conference at Polusolidos 2026. Entitled “Technologies for Managing Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions,” Gil Bravo will offer an updated overview of technologies that enable the control and reduction of VOC emissions, a cross-cutting challenge for numerous productive sectors.
Industrial development has increased the presence of these compounds in the atmosphere, generating secondary pollutants and contributing to the greenhouse effect. Therefore, reducing their impact has become a priority for industry, which must adopt solutions for prevention, minimization, and treatment.
In his presentation, Dr. Gil Bravo will explain the technological advancements and selection criteria, as well as the parameters that determine the effectiveness of managing these emissions.
With a PhD in Chemical Sciences and a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Public University of Navarre, Antonio Gil Bravo boasts a distinguished research career. He has also led numerous national and international projects, published over 350 scientific articles, registered 9 patents, and carried out extensive editorial work. With an h-index of 56 and more than 10,300 citations, he has been included in the list of the world’s top 2% most cited scientists (Stanford University) since 2020.
